"Signs, signs, everywhere a sign..."
We are now about 6 weeks out from the General Election. Five Council seats + Mayor for your consideration. Voter pamphlets should arrive just ahead of ballots in mid-October so we are in the final push. Still time to register if you haven't.
After our chosen hiatus post primary you'll start to see my campaign signs back up. Wouldn't want anyone to forget I'm still seeking your consideration, input and vote! Thank you for your patience, support and understanding as we move toward November 5th.
Tuesday Aug. 6th 8:15pm
Thank you North Bend!
70% of voter support is very humbling and gratifying. I am extremely honored to have received such incredible support.
At last look the voters of North Bend casting ballots for Rob McFarland represented 70% of all votes cast in the North Bend Mayor primary election.
Thank you for your vote in this primary and your continued support on November 5.
Campaign goes international!
Not only am I working hard campaigning the summer away here in North Bend but my tee shirts have begun to appear across the country and world. Could it be the TARDIS?

Business Outreach Meeting
I recently co-hosted North Bend's Business Outreach Meeting.
The Business Outreach meeting was formed to get better information from and to our commercial property and business owners in North Bend, thereby improving relations between the City and our community. Having recognized that far too often proposed changes that impact local business success were in the City legislative pipeline for months without the input from and, many times, knowledge of the people most directly impacted, I worked with the Community and Economic Planning Director to establish this monthly sharing meeting.
As the co-host, I’m gratified to say it has been well received by City staff, elected officials and the business owners it is intended to reach.
Encompass Rise & Shine Breakfast
It felt like home at the Rise and Shine Encompass breakfast to see many of my fellow former board members from the days when I was President of the Board. And what a treat that my good friend and former board member, Kevin Haggerty, was the key note speaker. No wonder attendance was strong with a wide number of wonderful community supporters all there to advance the mission of Encompass. For well over 50 years Encompass has been providing families services which have grown to a broad array of Early Learning, Pediatric Therapy, and Family Enrichment programs to the Snoqualmie Valley and greater Eastside area for children of all abilities and their families. I’m a proud supporter since my earliest days in North Bend. I’m confident that with Executive Director Nela Cumming and the current board future is bright for Encompass.
69% and climbing!
Thank you North Bend!
I am both thrilled and humbled by the trust you have placed in me to be your next Mayor. I intend to honor your trust by working hard to keep what makes us a great community.
As I stated when starting my campaign over nine months ago, I believe we are at a critical juncture where decisions we make in the next few years will shape how we will look and live to 2050 and beyond. As your new Mayor, I will continue to invite your input on what works best for our city, our community, so that as we progress our choices are positive, thoughtful and intentional.
The goals and vision that I have shared with you throughout my campaign are my roadmap as I transition from candidate to Mayor of North Bend. Together we will move forward to ensure a vibrant community: a community where as we grow responsibly, we ensure that our roads, water, sewer, and storm systems keep pace with our needs; our businesses thrive; our housing choices are diverse; and our environment is protected.
